Tim Spelling- Chairman of Colchester & East Essex C.C

MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIRMAN

' The season should have begun on the weekend but due to the bad weather over the last few weeks the Groundsman has been unable to get onto the square. We hope to be able to play this coming weekend when we entertain Little Baddow at home on Saturday and Great Totham on Sunday.

One of our coaches  Adam Kuss has arrived already from sunny Brisbane and has started coaching at the Primary schools. Adam is very keen and will be at nets in the week

Training has commenced for the senior sides and the youth section despite the cold weather.

Fixture Brochures are available so please ask Tim Spelling, Colin Perkins or Andrew Kennedy for one.

Lastly plans are well in advance for the celebrations of 100 yeas of cricket at the Park. For those of you who are able to listen to the local SGR radio Colin Perkins and Peter Constable were on the radio last Thursday talking about the new brochure.

There is an official launch of the '100 not out' brochure this Friday the 18th of April at the Park.

Lastly if you are available to play for the club , please do ensure you contact Brian Savill and  Andrew Kennedy stating your availability, we are running three sides and need to have as many people as possible making themselves available, selection is Monday nights for the following weekend.'

Mens outdoor nets have now started and run on a Tuesday and Thursday nights.

Tuesdays- All seniors 6-8:00pm

Thursdays- Saturday1st and 2nd XI squads only. This is for those playing on Saturday in either the 1st or 2nd XI squads.
